दिवाली की सफाई इस बार मैंने दिल से शुरू की 
कुछ पुरानी यादे, जो सिर्फ पड़ी थी एक कोने में 
एक पुराने कीमती शो पीस की तरह
बाहर फेंकने की उसको, इस बार हिम्मत की 

कड़वे अनुभवों के लटकते मकडी जाले 
जो हर ख्याल को छू जाते थे, हटा दिए मैंने 
ये मुश्किल हिमाकत की 

अपेक्षाओं की धुल जो सब तरफ फैली है 
बड़ी मुश्किल से हटाया आज,
हर विचार की डस्टिंग की 

शुशनुमा चेहरे, खुदा का शुक्र 
परिवार का प्यार, दोस्तों का साथ 
ये खूबसूरत तोहफे, खोले आज 
इनसे जिंदगी को सजा कर देखा, 
हर तरफ ख़ूबसूरती दिखी
दिवाली की सफाई, इस बार जो दिल से की 

Diwali cleaning started from the heart, this time
Some old memories, which are only lying in a corner
Like an old showpiece that is neither kept nor thrown away
Dare to throw that out, this time

Spider webs of bitter experiences
Touching every thought
I removed it, I did it, this time

Happy face, Gratitude to God
Love of Family and friends
These beautiful gifts, unwrapped today
